Miniature Preziose by Salvatore Ferragamo Jewels, the collection reproducing models of the legendary footwear created by Salvatore Ferragamo, has been enriched with new necklaces. After Rainbow, Red, Honey, Carmen, Butterfly, Renaissance, Poppea and Damigella, the collection is completed with five new pendants handcrafted by expert Italian goldsmiths.
The Maharani pendant in yellow gold and red enamel set with 62 white diamonds and 137 red rubies, blue sapphires and green tsavorites, is an exact copy of Salvatore Ferragamo’s most precious shoe. Created in 1938 for Indira Devi, the Maharani of Cooch Behar, the original wedge was set with real diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires. Wood Sandal is an 18k yellow gold pendant inspired by the wood sandal Salvatore Ferragamo created in 1943. The original wedge decorated with ‘mosaic’ has been skilfully replicated in the jewel by using yellow gold and red and blue enamels. Kimo was inspired by the shoe Salvatore Ferragamo designed in 1951 for the first Italian fashion show held at Palazzo Pitti in collaboration with Emilio Schuberth; this model was inspired by Japan’s famous Tabi shoes. In the jewel version, the miniature with an oriental flair is available in 18k yellow gold with inlaid black enamel and in the brilliant red enamel version with inlaid black enamel. Miss Vara was inspired by the famous, ultra-modern shoe made by Fiamma Ferragamo in 1978, which is still one of the maison’s most requested models. The necklaces in white or pink gold feature the Vara bow embellished with 12 white diamonds or 12 pink sapphires. The iconic RED, the renowned shoe Salvatore Ferragamo designed for Marilyn Monroe, is presented in two new versions: white or yellow gold with 209 white diamonds or 209 red rubies, all hand-set.
Ferragamo’s heritage is encompassed in the Miniature Preziose collection. Luxury stems from the choice of precious materials, unique design and meticulous attention to detail. Precious jewels carefully selected by expert gemmologists and cut to size are further enriched by details: Ferragamo’s futuristic label created by Lucio Venna, the model’s name and creation date are engraved on each miniature.
