Guerlain first introduced L’Homme Ideal fragrance in 2014.The first reinterpretation called L’Homme Ideal Cologne was introduced in spring 2015 as its invigorating and lighter version. The third manifestation, announced as more intense, more sensual and mysterious, L’Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum, is here now.
Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, and Delphine Jelk, a Guerlain perfumer working alongside him, have together reinvented indispensable almond, beautifully enhanced by notes of leather and vanilla tincture.
The combination of an enthralling almond with spices and a distinguished bergamot exerts a striking magnetism in this woody oriental. It is accompanied by elegant Bulgarian rose and then heightened by frankincense and the famous vanilla tincture of which Guerlain is so fond. Finally, the trail comes to the fore, a mysterious and endearing blend of leathery notes, tonka bean and sandalwood.
Boasting beautiful square shoulders and an unmistakably masculine heavy cap, the original streamlined and faceted bottle is adorned in an elegant taupe-coloured matte lacquer to highlight the fragrance’s intensity. The label borrows orange’s joyful touch of seduction.
